Please forgive me. I've often said that we should have a class-action suit against the Education Dept because it has failed to teach us to critically analyze problems or even to recognize them.

Now, I know that the teachers are not really in control of the teaching. It must be so frustrating!

I'm indebted to my teachers and had some great ones. Even the one who gave me a phobia turned out to be a pretty decent guy. We made up as adults over a cup of tea- but that's another story. The point is that I was incredibly blessed to have teachers who felt invested in my success.

Their income was not very different from folks with other jobs and similar qualifications. The teachers were respected in their communities and had three months a year off to rest and relax.

Over time, I've noticed that teaching fell behind. Even career advisers steered their talented students away from teaching and parents faced with growing college fees want their children to choose the technological or digital professional professions where they could earn so much more.

If society really cared for the children, we will value those we have entrusted with training their minds. We will pay them well. We will prioritize their well-being because they mold our future; particularly as our birthrate decline.

Forgive me for thinking it was your fault why so many of us have been failed by the system.
